After an endless tour of Australia in early 2024, Frenzee moved into the Aus subconscious rent-free, and for good reason.

Frenzee, you see, is not your average punk rock band. They are descendants of the Xylouris family, the custodians of Cretan folk music, and one of the most revered and respected names in Greece.

The children of George Xylouris (Xylouris White), schooled and skilled in the ways of the old, trained in the heavy repetition of 8-hour folk performances, the skill and energy captured, bottled, swigged and spat back out in the form of nine short blasts of heavy punk rock

Apollonia, Nikos and Adonis Xylouris are the next generation. Born in Melbourne, raised and based on Crete, Frenzee embodies the antipodean riffing of AC/DC, Hard Ons and The Angels but with a heavy dose of their childhood loves Bikini Kill, Motorhead, The Prodigy and Rage Against The Machine.

Frenzee isn’t the sum of some list of influences, however. They don’t sound like anyone on earth. No other band has ties to a discipline and skillset like the Xylouris siblings, yet it does not stifle the dynamic intensity of the band. It just makes Frenzee insanely consistent. See them for yourself at one of the shows below.
